The only place in CT was New Haven--about 50 miles from me. Maybe I'll get the DVD when it's available.

The Disney/moonlight website shows locations where the movie is showing, not sure how current or accurate that is.

I really want to see this movie, if it comes to a theater near me. I think if there where to be a sequel, which I doubt, I would apply for it.

NetFlix says:

The Transpacific Yacht Race tests the endurance of sailors from around the world in a 2,300-mile voyage from Los Angeles to Honolulu. This documentary follows a crew of 15 young competitors on a six-month odyssey from training to finish line. The Morning Light team was hand-picked by sailing experts -- including the film's producer, Transpac competitor Roy Disney -- and at ages 18 to 23, were the youngest team in the race's history.

Starring: Kate Theisen, Chris Branning
Director: Paul Crowder
Genre: Documentary

This movie has not been released on DVD. Future availability is not guaranteed.

Hope it is distributed as a DVD but Disney is funny about some movies: I would not be surprised if after all the BOD infighting between Roy Disney and the Disney company they let Roy's project just languish. That being said, Morning Light sure looks like the perfect movie for youth sailing programs (add to their rainy day collection) and those of us who like all things nautical.

I just saw it on DVD. I give it two thumbs up! My whole family liked it, and all of them are not into sailing. I bought the DVD at Best Buy. Netflix also has it. I didn't buy it in BluRay, but now I wish I had.

just bought it - waiting for delivery. Local blockbuster said I had to sign up for the online nonsense (netflix equivalent) in order to get it. So I dropped them entirely and went and bought it at amazon

I saw it when it first came out in the theaters. I really enjoyed it. Of course I enjoy anything about sailing. Its a great story. I would have liked to know a little more about the crew.
Go see it.
