Very neat, Paul! Is there a way we can download the program, so we can use it off-line?

Steve, it's javascript, so you should be able to just save the page and access it from your pc offline.

Obviously the google map feature won't work offline. But the rest should.

Is it the lat and long bit you want, if so I'll crunch it down to get rid of all the other stuff.

If your phone runs java script (test it by accessing the page on your mobile phone) then you could have it there too.

That actually makes it worth me crunching it! So I'll do that this evening.
(update: I just tested it on my G1 phone and it works. Stay tuned)

And I thought I needed a job...

Nice work, wonder if it'll work on my RAZR.

David, I didn't write that script (see the link at bottom of tech tip page) I just
relocated it and put the bits together.

If you RAZR has a browser (even if you don't have a net plan on the phone) it should work.

Of course, my old t-mobile phone couldn't handle it, but then it couldn't even show png files in it's browser assuming that it was having a good day.
I just bought a G1 Phone (google android based) and it rocks! The calc works great on my new phone.

(of course the new phone runs on Linux not on MSux. )
