I FINALLY got Bamboo away from the dock yesterday for a 3 hour sail. It's been about 2 months!!! Like the title says, it's nothing special and the boat's a mess but I thought other folks are jonesing for a pictorial as much as I am so .............
Cheers and Merry Christmas!

Thanks John, The oddest thing. Using Firefox as a browser and Picasa web albums and it was showing me the pics, even in preview. So I brought up IE (where the Association site and Picasa won't recognize me) and sure enough, couldn't see the pics. Redid the post exactly the way it was done the first time and it seems to be working. Please let me know if you're still not seeing pics. Dave
Great pics -- just the tonic we northerners need as the wind blows and the calender says we are still a couple of months shy of any length of sail. Took the kids skiing this past weekend and could only think of how much I would have preferred a nice long sail -- with or without libation!
The weather looks good for tomorrow so I'll be out for a few hours, I'll take my camera in case anything fun happens along! It's bike week here so you never know what you'll see
OK, here's some more. Taken last Saturday (2-27-09) It got to about 80 degrees with a 10 to 20 out of the south (by Tuesday night it was 37 degrees). The Intercoastal runs north and south so I had to motor south and then sail north but it was worth it. Great day! Not without it's problems though. About half way home I put a little pressure on the tiller and it went, "crrraaaack!!" It cracked at the rudder where the 2 bolts go through but didn't completely break so I very carefully sailed her home. Will buy a new one this weekend. Glad that didn't happen off shore! Also ripped my 110 a little (original jib), will have to have that repaired.
