Jim, Russ, Paul, or Steve,

On 12/28/08 I received an email to renew my membership dues. I put it off, and am now reviewing the email. It was sent to me from PayPal, with Bill Meinert's name as the Commodore. Is this an inappropriate solicitation from PayPal, or is this the preferred way to renew the membership? Should I expect a renewal reminder at a later date from the Association?

excerpt from my email message:
Catalina 25/250 National Association
(membership@catalina-capri-25s.org) would like to be paid through PayPal.

Pay Catalina 25/250 National Association now with PayPal!

I agree with your intrepdiation. I never follow links to paypal received in emails.

Randy, just click on the Join link in the top right hand corner of this page.

As far as I know the only reminders we send are snail mailed by the paid Association membership staff.
