Currently 54 degrees here in Nashville and supposed to get up to 60 tomorrow. Unbelievable for this time of year here!

There are large open (i.e. unfrozen) areas on Lake Erie near my house. Air temp ~ 35F.

It takes a lot of nerve to call 70ยบ a Frostbite Regatta!

In all fairness, we just came off a week of day temps in the 20's and teens at night. One of the ponds near our house is still frozen over. Should melt tomorrow.

Dave B. You never know what weather you'll get at this time of year in Central Texas. 4 years ago it was 38 degrees with a 12k wind out of the north. I started to get hypothermic and had to go below while my friend single-handed the boat and won!

The lesson was don't race in that kind of stuff.
So much for a 3-day weather forecast. Instead of 70 degrees we had 42 with a 24k wind from the NNW....needless to say I didn't race!
