Alternative Minimum Tax? An amazing thing about Kansas is people like me can afford to sail, those of you who sail C25s in coastal locals obviously have way more money than we little lake people. Most of my Yacht Club has gross incomes under $100k, I think most of you would have C30s if you lived here.
We are the same way on our lake Frank, but less than an hour away (East or West) is the Toronto Harbour Scene, or the Georgian Bay Scene.
Last year the guy in th eslip next to me was a part-time college prof. The 5 largest boats in the harbour were owned by a Doctor, a home inspector, a Diesel mechanic, and a furnace installer, and a shoe salesman.
I think the biggest boat we have right now is a Tartan 3400 (not sure). In Toronto Harbour, it would be very different. Of course if we had the money that goes around Toronto Harbour, the marina might have been dredged by now, so that bigger boats could get in!
