If you have a rigging outfit near you they can do the job. You can also check with Catalina Yachts via their 800 number or give Catalina Direct a call. Catalina Direct is an outfit that specializes in all sorts of parts and gear for Catalina boats. They are at www.catalinadirect.com. Finally, there is a place called www.riggingonly.com that does this work too. You send them your current stays and they send replacements sized just right. I have bought from them and they are very good.
At 14 years old your standing rigging is due for replacement.
Yes I did. I checked several places, including locally and found that Catalina Direct had the best prices. They will have you remove them and send them in so that they can make the new ones the exact length you need. Call them and they will give you the specifics.
I talked to a rigger a couple of weekends ago when I bought my new spinnaker pole from him. He thought he could probably re-rig our boat for around $1500 US, this is in Anacortes, not horribly far across the border from you. If you're interested, I can post their contact details, but I'm sure there are riggers much closer to you.
Did you buy your boat in the US? We looked at a WB named "Sea Bear" when we were shopping for our boat a few years back. It was in Bellingham at the time, but I don't remember the broker. If it's the same boat, I hope you didn't get stung by the wasps in the anchor locker!
