I have my spinnaker mast track and boom vang hound sitting at home, eagerly waiting to be mounted. I don't recall seeing any mounting dimensions on either in any of the factory literature. Does anyone know, are there guidelines on where to mount, or is it more personal preference?
Thanks! Pat

The original pole mount eye on the spar was exactly five feet up from the base of the mast. As far as the vang, I set mine at approx. 45 degrees to the spar.
I forgot I even posted this. I read other threads, then went and looked at the boat. I had a 4' track, and figured doesn't make any sense to have it too close to the deck, and not too high that I couldn't reach it, so I faked it, and put the bottom of it probably about 2' off the deck. I can always drill a few more holes, and mount it either higher or lower without too much work I figure.
I looked at pics of the vang, and 45 deg looked about right, so went with that. Figure it's not rocket science, and I was tired of not having it mounted.
