This week while my Mast was down, I replaced Halyards, replaced Topping Lift, added a Spinnaker Block and added a Windex to the top of the Masthead. The Windex required a 1/4" hole to be drilled then tapped with a 5/16" x 18 tap. Was easy to do and as I was preparing to bolt the Windex to the Masthead, my neighbor who works in the boating industry came over and handed me a small tube of "Teff-Gel" (teflon grease) and said to put it on the threads if I ever want to get it back out. I just wanted to mention this because Stainless Steel attached to Aluminum results in Corrosion. I knew this but totally forgot about it and as lots of people are doing Spring work on their boats and may forget it as I did, I thought a "heads-up" might be helpful.
