I would like to get an early request in for Mainsheet articles. Due to some plans collapsing late in the game, our coverage will be smaller, but hopefully good quality, in he upcoming issue. If anyone has a trip planned, take photos and get with me so we can work something up. If you live in a destination type place, a few paragraphs of color and insider knowledge would but a good read and helpful for others. And I want to appeal to Catalina fleets, cruising clubs, etc. - you must have some plans. I will be sending emails, but so far I have only had one response since last summer. I carry some responsibility for that, that's why I'm starting my harangues early. If I can get ahead on short destination articles and perhaps feature or two, we can have a consistent presence. The Mainsheet will continue in its downsized form for awhile, and any space we give up is likely to not come back until they can add the 8 pages back.
If you are the contact person for a fleet and haven't gotten an email from me, let me know. If you are a member of a fleet, let me know who to contact or become my contact. The data I have may not be current. I would also like to know if you were a member of a fleet, etc, that is no longer active. Inquiring minds want to know.

Dave when do you need the material by? Are you looking for tech tips, cruising articles, "lifestyle" pieces, or general stuff to build up your library?
Technical and project articles should be discussed with John G. Destination and sailing/cruising topics as short articles or features are what I need. I am looking for June submissions to appear in the August issue, so it's still in season sailing and destinations. A late Spring cruise, group sailing, interesting new destinations, trailering to a new location, or anything else that directly involves sailing a Catalina/Capri-25/250 is a potential article and opportunity to promote our boats. If you have an idea or a sailing plan, we can start from there. I would love to have a few articles on file for dry times, especially destinations. Read the articles in the other sized Catalinas to get a feel for the structure, pick something you're comfortable with, and we can work from there
