Just have to recognize The Flying Wasp (#401) for proudly representing the Catalina 25! I was at the Ohio Department of Natural Resources, Division of Watercraft yesterday getting a replacement Ohio sticker (misplaced mine during the winter), when as I'm standing at the window taking care of business I see a promotional flier posted on the Division of Watercraft window promoting boating in general. the picture is of a beautiful sailboat passing in front of a lighthouse (the one in front of EYC, I think). You guessed it. It was #401.
Duane Wolf is the previous owner of #401. Maybe the picture was taken under his ownership. :-)
We did own the boat at that time - Prior to us it was in a boatyard up in Sandusky for 10 years. The lighthouse is Cleveland Light and to the best of my knowledge it was taken on a Tuesday night. Based on the outboard stapled the the back of that thing and the sails the photo is almost 10 years old.
They've used it in a number of publications. Neither of us are fond of the pic. The sails look like hell and the crew onboard wasn't as good at trimming as they were going down to the cooler.
