I notice that the only change in the address is from ".org" to ".com"

That'll make it easy to remember.

Don't count on it Steve!

There is too much stuff around for us to drop the .org.

So we'll be keeping the real domain as .org, but the .com will go(come) to the same place.

The new members area will be on another domain when it's ready to release.

Hi, I'm new and just happened to find the site on the day you were changing it. I found that the verifcation email needs changing from .org to .com. I kept clicking on it and got errors until I noticed it was still going back to the .org site.

Paul, I noticed a post I did yesterday on the org site did not show up on the .com site. I just did a cut and paste.

Jonathan, you may or may not know that you caught us in the midst of changing servers. It'll all come back together shortly--I was told probably tonight.

Update:

Thanks to a rule of the previous registra, our domain will not change for at least another 24 hours (for which they have apologized!)

I'll leave the new registrants setup as the .org so that it will function correctly once the dns changes over.

So far things are looking good.

Thanks for your patience guys.

Paul:

Looks like the subscription notices are still linked to the .org site, got this email today:

The transfer is now complete.

The .org domain is our primary domain, but the .com will continue ad infinitum.

Now all the links that refer to older posts in the forum will work too.

And the new member and rss feeds work as they refer to the .org domain.

Phew!

Good job! That went pretty smooth and quickly. I've been on a TON of sites that go down for days when going through that process. lol
