Sailors, I recently purchased a Capri 25, formerly Small Potato racing out of Virginia Beach. New name Zephyr. Sailing and racing out of Louisville, KY.

It has a manual Whale bilge pump. The pump is activated by a removable handle/arm that enters through the cockpit bulkhead. I need a handle. Does anyone know what the model # of the Whale bilge pump is?

thanks,

Ted,
Welcome to the forum.

I was in the same boat as you when I got my 250, no handle for the pump. The PO thought the coat hanger rod in the wet locker was the handle, I guess he never actually looked at it. I couldn't find one so I made one out of 1/2" copper pipe with a dowel epoxied inside for rigidity. I epoxied a 2" wooden ball on top for a handle. I found the ball at a crafts store. I painted the whole thing bright red so it's hard to miss.

Does it look like this?

If so you can get a replacement handle from Catalina Direct.
