Ok, so we are getting our Tarazzo flooring refinished.
By all accounts it's a messy dirty task (they grind away the surface) and the house will be unlivable while they do it (4 or 5 days)
So, JD is parked outside on the trailer, we could 'livaboard' for the few days, of course, we'll need AC! And that's the issue.
I'm thinking of making a 'sump' that I can strap to the underside of the boat with a water inlet (from the pool) and then a hose from the AC outlet into the pool.
(Ok, not my bright idea, it was the admiral's! But pretty good!)
I can vouch for Terrazzo being a dirty mess, I helped one of my best friend's families put in a floor when I was a teenager. The grinding is loud and really messy.
As far as the sump, why do you need a it for the AC, are you running a swamp cooler? You could always run an "elephant trunk" from an AC unit in your house out to JD for the duration. I've seen the Mythbusters use plastic tubing that comes in rolls to do similar things (usually with helium, but that's besides the point).
