Any pictures or ways to tow with the motor attached? we are going to tow Leprechaun about 2 1/2 hours with our 9.9 HP motor attached. I am looking for ways to strap it so it does not fall off or bend the stern pulpit . Thanks again.

A recent thread talked about towing and several guys said they had towed their boats hundreds of miles with outboard attached and had no problem. When I tow my 14 foot powerboat I leave the motor down to minimize the bounce.
Search for posts with "outboard" by Sweetcraft. Jim Sweet built a support for his Honda 15HP on a C25.
We have towed our C250 over 3,000 miles with a Honda 9.9 on it with no special support, straps or anything and it has done just fine. I think these boats are built to take a bigger pounding in the water than you will get on the road.
I tow round trip to Florida every winter with the Mercury Bigfoot 9.9 down and the mount up to keep the mass close to the boat and have never had a problem. I do put a snug safety line around the mount and motor to the stern rail base and aft cleat just in case, but that is just for peace of mind.
Thanks Dave and All, We are getting ready to tow Leprechaun to Lake Erie and we have the debate..Motor On/ Motor Off? I think Motor On but upright close to the hull with a support strap seems to be the answer. BTW Dave I will let you know of dates by email as we are also going to stay at Brands.. Thanks for your info
