Hi - am replacing my busted furler and want to change the forestay turnbuckle (it is the closed type - stock for an 83)....does anybody know what size the turnbuckle is....and good place to get one overnight?

Do you have a local chandler (boat parts store) or a friend with spares? The shackle should be removable (there may be a pin to remove first). Attach a short line if needed to secure the halyard, then take your shackle to the store for a replacement. The alternative would be to look online (ebay, etc.) for something that looks like your shackle.
