I just returned from a week trip to Santa Cruz, Channel Islands (CA) and was really pleased with the sturdiness of our little C25. All 3 of my sons joined me and to make it less crowded for sleeping, I made a bunk in the cockpit. This gave me an idea for the cockpit table in the picture which sits on the rail support I made for the bunk and is wedged between the cushions. It was ideal for happy hour after anchoring, even when there was some swell. I got the bottle holder from a clearance sale at Defender Marine, and just screwed two 1x4's to the edge of an old cutting board.
Nice job. Even without the rail support, a couple of tongues attached to the bottom of the cutting board or each of the ends of the 1x4s, extending beneath the cushions, would probably hold it quite nicely. Looks like a fun time. Thanks for the pic!
