I am replacing all my rigging. I have a question about the chainplate/eyebolts. Do the eyebolts that connect the lower shrouds to the deck have to be turned to a specific angle on the deck before connecting the shrouds? If so where can I found out what that angle is? Thanks for the help. Danielle
They do have to be turned to the correct angle. There is a procedure for doing this that is demonstrated in the rigging video available from Catalina Direct. I don't recall the details of it now though. I expect that if you call Catalina Direct, they should be able to answer your question over the phone.
