I would like to hear from someone who has used the Window Seal Kit from Catalina Direct.
With all the rain we have had this summer my half hearted measures to keep the windows in my 1981 Catalina25 Standard rig Windsong from leaking haven't fared out too well.

I am currently leak free, after a touchup. I intend to redo two windows this winter. 3M 4200 was included in my kit, but I didn't use it. You should use a product that allows removal; polysulfide is the only viable choice in my mind. My problem was with the aft portlights, approximating the ends squeezed the caulk out of the mid section. I will use spacers next time.

I used the CD kit - which contained everything necessary - and while there was an improvement, it's not 100% leak free - I suspect mostly operator error...I didn't allow enough time and rushed through the project a bit...the best advice I received - afterwards of course...was when re-assembling, to only partially tighten the screws holding the frames and moulding in place, wait for the 4400 to cure and then go back and finish tightening the screws.

I ordered my reseal kit yesterday from Catalina Direct. However I was told that they ran out of the inner channel sealant and it would take about a week before they could ship the kit.
Today I received a call stating that they came up with a substitute but if I wished to go with the original sealant it would take 3 to 4 weeks before they could ship it.
I agreed to accept the subsitute so I wouldn't be running into a cold weather problem completing the project.
