Ulman C25 Tall Rig mainsail - two reef points + flattening reef point, cunningham, leech line. Good sail for light to moderate breezes, daysailing, etc. A bit too much shape for strong breezes. $150

The sail is about 15 years old. In good condition for day sailing or breezes into the moderate range. But, is old enough now that it doesn't point as well in stronger winds.

The overall condition is good. There have been a couple repairs over the years - such as sewing the battens into the pockets to keep them from popping out when a student is a bit slow tacking. I also sewed on some sacrificial sail cloth on both sides of the luff below the reef point cringles a chafe material.

The sail still has pretty good shape. I raced in three distance races with it this year and placed first in all three. The worst finish in the past six years has been a third. So, the sail still lifts well.

When I bought the sail, I debated whether to go with loose footed and elected against. However, within a couple months I took the foot bolt rope out of the boom and have sailed loose footed ever since. It's very easy to change sail shape. And, with the flattening reef, the lower third to half of the sail can easily be flattened without sacrificing much overall power.
