Found these all over the web.
2.5hp for under $500 (Did a google for 'CRUZLITE OUTBOARD MOTORS')

I know, 'you get what you pay for!' at least these are in our price bracket right now.

Anyone got any history with this brand?

Paul

Never heard of it.

Just like mine. Tough little outboard, hard to kill them, even when your wife kicks it off the dock into the drink. (Paul knows what I'm talking about)

My search found a 'dead' web site for Cruzlite.

I think I recall seeing ads for Cruzlite back in the 80's. As stated their claim was extreme light weight. But surely this motor is more recent vintage than that. Surely?

I have to amend the above post. Those 80's motors were called "Cruise and Carry." They were advertised as small dinghy motors. Does make you wonder if there is a connection, tho'.

They were often referred to as "cuss and carry", but maybe they got more reliable in their later years.
