i am fully redoing 1979 25' , but can't find drawings on wiring
to figure out --what is what.

Look in the manuals and brochures sectin on this site. The original wire diagram is in there.

Welcome to the forum Thomas,
You should post this in the Catalina 25 forum instead of the Swap meet, a lot of folks that own c25's don't visit the swamp meet all the time.
