This one inspired me to start another of these winter threads (while many of us wait for the threat of the last blizzard to pass)... This "Catalac 44" is from BoatUS's classified ads:
I think it even beats out the Mac 26X/M!
What production boat have you seen that's worse?
Association Port Captain, Mystic, CT Past member and DPO of C-25 #5032 Now on Eastern 27 Sarge (but still sailing) and posting as "Stinkpotter". Passage, Mystic, and Sarge--click to enlarge.
Ah yes, a catamaran--I didn't catch that. But somehow the reverse sheer said "Sea Ray", the double-level superstructure said "Bayliner", and the windows said "Motel 6."
Dave - You are right that it's UHHHHHHHHH-glee! But the floating condo sleeps 12! In this video ad you can see that it has bunks without lee-boards. I think it's not meant for racing or for handling big waves; it's meant for cocktail parties and maybe some snorkeling.
Well, I thought it might actually have been based on a PT boat from WWII -- Hutchins' lines and shear -- maybe practical, just not all that pretty (read GD ugly!)
The Catalac is not an ugly sailboat. It is a pretty houseboat. Just compare it to some of the house-trailer on pontoon boats you have seen and it looks darn good.

Dave, sorry to bump you from your 1st place position for posting the ugliest boat pix!
The photos below are not for the faint of heart. Children should also be ushered from the room. The forum also cannot be held responsible for inducing post traumatic stress disorder.
Congratulations Steve (OJ)--you've vaulted to the top! Some day I'll get a shot of a C-30 with a varnished wood pilot-house, here in Mystic. It isn't that ugly, but it's "unique".
Sten, your rusty old lady looks like she was a sweet young thing once upon a time... Sad. The other two are definitely "wide loads" in the Bayliner tradition!
This is a new boat at my marina. Surprisingly ugly lines. . But this boat is playing by different rules. It's another catamaran. . And it has a really nice wooden dinghy.

A wind generator, solar panels, anchors, life rings aft and port. Sail covers in good condition, blue tarps not shredded, bicycles under cover, a whisker pole, a dinghy on davits . . . looks very functional! If this boat could talk, what stories it might tell.
