Sarge has splashed... and was <i>immediately</i> boarded by the Coasties while a mechanic was testing her steering (they're antsy this time of year)... She passed inspection, <i>and</i> the steering is fine. Before bringing her back to her home, I experienced the stinkpotter's delight: a mirror-smooth Fishers Island Sound (which we won't see again this year). Sarge exceeded her hull-speed by around 30 knots... (Powerboaters would call that 42 mph.)
The Port of Mystic is open!
And Serenade (previously owned by Zsa Zsa Gabor and Jacques Cousteau) is being rigged just down the river...
She's probably the prettiest sailboat I've seen, and I've seen some amazing ones!
