Its over I can't go forward with my plans for this boat. The wife wants it gone so the dream is dead. 79 C25 swing keel. Sails are decent, 10hp outboard is good, hulls in good shape too. If anyone knows anyone interested, I live in Westchester, NY. Boat needs a good cleaning and some minnor cosmetic work. Will take anything for it. Dry docked at house Westchester, Ny call me if your interested 914-907-6350

Sad, but you'll have another dream, and your "swinger" can be somebody else's dream-come-true!

Does she come with a trailer? Any details listed elsewere?

Best of luck!

Unfortantly I do not have a trailer. Bought the boat off my sailing instructor about 5 years ago. After the first 2 years of sailing it in LI Sound then came marriage, house, kids and work ..... ect. Just don't have the time to do what needs to be done for it. Someday hopefully I will pick up the dream again! Boat is very basic no bells and whistles, and like I said I would take anything for it. I will donate it and get the tax write-off if no one wants her.

Same thing happened to me over 20 years ago. I was about your age then. Couple years ago, last kid moved out and got back into sailing. Now have 2nd boat. I could shoot myself however for not sticking with it however. My dream lives on! Hopefully yours is just put on hold. Never let them die.
Best of luck...

Kids and family come first. I bought my C25 when I was 53. Before that I couldn't have done it. Not money---- time from family. You will get back to it! For now, make the beat of these joyous years. They will get to be teenagers soon enough!

Don't wait till they're teenagers. When they're old enough to swim and listen to instructions, get a new boat and teach them to sail. Read this article:

Yeah, I take my family sailing all the time, but I'm one of those lucky guys who has a wife who likes to sail. Jackson, our three year old, tends to get a little bored so yesterday we bout a portable DVD player for $56, 7" Phillips. Problem solved.
