here's the boat you all have been waiting for:

1989 Catalina 25 Tall Rig with wing keel
Boat equipped with
Ullman Offshore full batten loose footed main
Lazy Jacks
Topping lift
Custom mainsail cover
Schaeffer snapfurl cf 700 furler
Ullman Offshore 135 headsail
Custom made headsail cover
two triple cabin top rope clutches to lead lines aft
USGS certified LED anchor light, windex light, steaming light, deck lights, all to 4 prong cabin top receptacle
Standing rigging replaced about 7 years ago and equipped with quick release turnbuckles on forward lowers
Kenwood marine CD/stereo with splitter to mast mounted VHF antenna
VHF radio
Plastismo Contest 101 compass mounted to bulkhead and working hard wired light (since this reads on both sides of the bulkhead it makes a great night light)
Raymarine 2000 tiller autopilot with remote
Backstay adjuster with blocks to make 12 to 1 purchase
Sustom made cabin top cover
self tailing jibsheet winches
Many additional reading lights, 12 volt receptacles, switches, additional panels installed. Makes for easier cruising.
Porta Potti with electric flush
Origo 2000 non pressurized alchohol stove with cutting board.
Boat pre wired for 125 volt AC, but never hooked up.
2003 Honda 8 hp power thrust extra long shaft electric start motor with external pull cord and quick disconnect receptacle mounted on transom
Offshore motor mount
Garhauer lifting davit
ladder step pads
A frame for stepping mast
boom vang
Cushions in good shape except quarterberth cushion could use top cover (or just put a gym bag over the worn spot like I did)
Bottom job is new and never been in water since. (as of today may 5)
NO blisters on this Vinylester hull. Frank knew how to make them in 89.
Upgraded pintles, gudgeons, tiller strap.
New semi balanced SEAMLESS rudder (the older model comes apart)

TRAILER:
9600 lb capacity model. Overbuilt, yes.
Custom made aluminum frame salt water trailer with stainless bolts
Dual torsion bar suspension axles with 4 wheel stainless steel disc brakes
New this year actuator with recirculating solenoid back up valve
Tongue extension
Keel guides which makes retrieving very easy.
LED tail lights
15 inch wheels

This boat h as been in fresh water all it's life except for about a half dozen trips to the Keys for a few weeks. Perfect boat for trailer trips, No permit needed and trailer tracks straight as an arrow.

$14,000 Why so cheap? You get to refinish the teak. I'm renovating my house so I can't get to it. Gosh, why would I need the money now?

Located in Knoxville Tennessee at Concord Yacht club.

I forgot to tell you. I have to take pics and get some computer literate person to come over and teach me how to post and send pics.

I hate learning computer stuff

I will also be selling my Ericson 32 in about a year or so.

Frank,

I am interested in the boat. Can you email me at force 5 class at sbc global dot net. No spaces in the email. I have been considering trading up to the year of your boat. I would like to talk to you live about the boat.

Thanks

Hey Don,
Go to boats.com and do a search for Ericson 38, the late 80's models.

That's what I like. It's a bigger version of the Ericson 32. the interiors are real teak. Structurally it's really strong and well built. Granted, with a spade rudder you run a risk, but unless I win the lottery I can't afford a Cabo Rico, my dream boat.

Hey Paul

thanks for the kind words.

As a matter of fact, I have a commitment to buy the boat already. We'll get together next week to do the check and paperwork

I knew it was too cheap

If it falls through, I'll let you know, but the buyer is a stand up guy so it should be solid.
