Does any one use the chat room set up as the Captain's Lounge?

Mark....this has been used in the past but very little... the last site used went defunct...and I doubt a new one has been aquired. If there was enough interest... a room could probably be set up on one of the messenger services.

I think I remember one time in four or five years I've been around this forum when there was a formally scheduled time for the Captain's Lounge meeting.

I'm wondering if it were used in the future would there be interest on the part of the membership? If so could a Captain's Lounge be set up? If not shouldn't the line be removed?

The Captain's Lounge link does work. A browswer add-in will likely be downloaded your first time in. One the chat room opens, you'll be asked to provide a username. Provide the password if you want to . . . it is not required.

This chat room has been available for many months. And, yes, the FineSailing site we used at one time is long gone. The good thing about it was the voice chat. This new chat room doesn't accomoodate voice.

I have logged onto the chat room quite a few times but have never "run into" anyone while I was on....of course, when I go on later in the evening on the west coast, most everyone else is probably long gone for the night.
Maybe users could all agree on a specific east or west coast time to be logged in and waiting...maybe Sunday evening 8 or 9 eastern or something like this <img src=icon_smile_question.gif border=0 align=middle>

Just noticed that Mark is in Bakersfield, CA., also my side of the continental plate. Where is your boat parked, Mark? Mine is on the trailer but thinking about one of the nearby lakes for sailing in the winter months.
