To All: First time posting, so hope this works.I have been looking for a local 25 fleet, but could not find any information on an existing one. I sail a 25 out of Grand River, Ohio which is just east of Cleveland. Wondered if there were any other standard rigs nearby that would be interested in organizing, so that we could be recognized as a "fleet" and enter local regattas as our own "one design" section. ( I think we need 5 or 6 boats to be recognized. Beyond the regattas, there may be some local club racing that could be organized sometime this summer. Just wondering if there is an interest. Thanks,

Hi Butch, you'd think up that way you'd find a lot of C25s; but based on my viewing of the forum I don't think there are that many who frequent this board. I'm a couple hours south of you, so it wouldn't be feasible for me to be a participant in your fleet. :(

Ben, I appreciate the response. I too am surprised at the lack of responses. Perhaps after it has been posted for a few days. There doesn't seem to be a lot of talk regarding racing these boats up here, but I am hoping that will change because they seem to handle the Lake Erie changes pretty well. Apparently the "Nationals" were held here in 2009, but I only saw four total boats registered. Thanks for the time.

Butch, I am not crazy far away, but probably too far.

I've been trying to drum up interest around here, but to the same end. No takers.
