The markers light up when you find them, sometimes it just gets old trying to find them on a long trip..

I agree there's a time and place for the million candlepower and keep a cordless that does a great job, but these little LED's are WAY bright and keep a very narrow beam and will do the job many times.

Sorry, Ray, I agree with Dave. Most cans and nuns have reflectors which respond even to regular flashlights. We always keep one handy. My favorite has two settings a high and a low beam. We had a very tricky home channel to navigate when we sailed the C350 out of Kingman Yacht Club in Cautaumet MA on Buzzards Bay and it worked even when the admiral was tired (and crabby) and I had to helm and navigate at night. Greenwich Bay is much easier to navigate.
