I launched my boat last week and rigged it today. Today was our first race. I could not find the parts for connecting the tack of the main. I ended up with a concoction of parts that were it not for a good cunningham would not have worked. What are folks using for connecting the tack of the main?
Thanks in advance

Hum, mine slides up and down with the cunningham tension. It looks just like the drawing in the archives (drawing no 245-33004-9). I wonder if this is a rig change between early boats and later boats? I use a sail track stop to keep it from falling on the deck when I lower the main.
Interesting. That gooseneck assy on the far L of the drawing is the same as what I have - however it's screwed to the mast (fixed). How is yours attached?
Mine slides up and down in the sail track. I keep it up when the sail is down with a sail track stopper, not a perfect solution, sometimes it slips, but mostly workable. Otherwise the boom just hangs on the sail at whatever height I set the sail at. My main has a larger than normal leach and interferes with the back stay. Sometimes in light wind I drop the sail down a little to help the sail clear the backstay. I don't like the set up but that is how the boat came to me and I've not purchased a new main yet (next on my list).
