Also posted on the Cruising Page Anyone looking for a fresh water cruise? If so, mark your calendar for the first week in August 2010 for our annual flotilla cruise of Lake Pend Oreille in northern Idaho. We will leave Bayview at the South end of the lake on Wednesday, Aug 4th - planned destination the South breakwater at the Clark Fork River. Tie up to the breakwater for BBQ dinner and overnight. On Thursday, Aug 5th - sail from the Clark Fork River to Sandpoint. Shop around Sandpoint and over night at the Boat Basin, the Windbag or overnight at anchor. On Friday, Aug 6th - sail from Sandpoint to Hope for dinner at the Floating Restaurant in Hope. Stay overnight at one of two marinas or anchor out. On Saturday, Aug 7th - sail from Hope to Whiskey Rock to overnight at the public docks. BBQ pot luck. Or, for those who need to get "back home" - sail all the way to Bayview. On Sunday, Aug 8th - Whiskey Rock to Bayview to complete the flotilla. Total distance sailed if all could be straight line (no tacks or jibes - ha ha) is about 70 nautical miles.
