I got my boat back in September and spent all winter redoing her. Gutted the interior, new bulkheads, stripped and repainted bottom, new rigging, fixed soft spots, basically everything.Yesterday I finally was able to trailer it down to the lake to put it in. I backed the truck down the "sailboat" ramp at the lake till the back tires were half way under and still had a good foot of air between the water and bottom of boat. All my friends just looked at me with a "what are you gonna do now" look. I pulled out the tow strap and explained the process, in which I got a "are you crazy" look, and alot of "I gotta see this!!". Hooked up the strap and let gravity do the rest. All my friends just stood there shaking their heads, saying "I wouldn't believe it if I hadn't seen it". All went well on the maiden voyage, although I do have a little seepage on the lower rudder bracket giving me about a drip every 2 min.
Ich hatte ein Lächeln den ganzen Tag. Danke John. Thank you too OJ. It was a good feeling seeing it float for the first time. And your right John, it's time to have fun!!!
