I ask because we are contemplating the same setup. Where did you locate the locker? You ran rubber hoses from the locker to the appliances? The hoses have no splices? Any leak detection devices?

The aft port locker was sealed and then vented. There are two rubber hoses coming from the tank and routed to each appliance. chafe guards around any holes drill for the hose. no splices in the hoses and we have a propane solenoid & propane gas detection also. The Cozy Cabin also has a safety oxygendepleltion device that shuts the unit off if oxygen levels inside get low.
Hope that helps

<hr height="1" noshade id="quote"></font id="quote"></blockquote id="quote"> Yes, I've seen other mounted a 1 lbs tank on the stern rail which would work.

Thanks for sharing Devin - very helpful information. We have friends building a 28' sailboat (bluewater) and their propane lines are copper - also without splices.

We located our propane tank outside on the stern pushpit.

The shelf is made out of corian. Same un-spliced hose to the stove. Hold down ring is made out of flex 1/2" copper tubing and associated plumbing fittings. Took about an afternoon to build and install. These 1 1/2 gal propane tanks last most of a season. A propane solenoid would be an improvement. We always make sure to turn the gas off at the tank when we finish cooking.
