Paul, gave it a try on my iPhone, which is a no go. When you click on the data entry fields, the keyboard pops up as it should, then immediately goes away, so you can't type. I wouldn't worry about this if I were you, just wanted to give you a heads up. I'll give it another try later when I've got a PC handy.
Just did mine. I concur, year purchased would be better. I'm concerned about the e-mail address's availability in the databse. I assume it will be protected as it has been in the past?
In your present owners list you have this entry: #485 - Seafood, 1978 Standard, Swing Keel Eric Schoefernacker & Matt Mattern, Chicago IL, United States I believe that this entry is incorrect. I bought my boat from these two owners. The boat I bought was named "Seafood" The HIN is CTYK0482M78D. I believe they miss-registered the boat on this site when they owned it giving it the hull number of 485. I really doubt that these owners have a second boat of the same year with a different hull number with the same name as the one they sold me.

It also might help to type a space before the state code (to omit boats on CaNYon Lake and people named ToNY). I can't tell you how to do it on a Mac...
I entered my data for Passage today, however did not fill in years owned, and typed my email in words ..... at AOL dot com. Will there be a way to update info in the future?
Update: The data will be the basis for a search of boats/owners. The email address will not be included in the search results.
You will be able to search for all records or limit the search to model type, etc. You'll be able to sort the records by any of the displayed fields.
The next component I have to work on is the Approval process. this is where any of the officers that have access to the membership roster of the association, can approve - member, approve - guest, decline any of the submissions (you know that we get spam data input, so this avoids the data being corrupted by spammers.)
After that will be the search feature.
Eventually I'll add the option for you to login to your 'Sailors' record and edit your boat(s) listings.
That's why I'm asking that you only register a single boat right now.

not sure if you want to go that far, but some owners may be willing to peel lat/long info off their GPs and share with you, then we could generate a google map of where the baots are. That might give info to feed location selection for the nationals.
Just an idea. As is, we could peel off all the "city" locations, but that sounds time consiming.
