1982 sk C25 Port side cockpit scupper lower edge has deteriorated and is leaking. Gap looks too big for caulk. Has anyone ever replaced one of these? There is a cock pit scupper in west marine 2002 catalogue page 523 item # 596355. Looks like it might fit, have not measured yet.

Call Catalina Direct or the factory in Woodland Hills CA. Either place should be able to give you good advice. Hard to figure though that you cannot build up the area with epoxi and micro balloons or finely chopped fiberglass.

With the potential damage that can occur with a leak in this area I'm tempted to correct it sooner than later. Picking up on Bill's suggestion, does anyone know if you can access the space between the outer layer of the transom and the inner layer of the cockpit? If so, I'd like to slice off a piece of 2 inch PVC pipe, insert it in the above space (as a mold) and create new scuppers out of an epoxy/filler mixture.
Thoughts?

I used some marine tex to stop it for now. Will wait for rain to see if it worked. In the mean time I ordered the scupper from West Marine to see if it will fit.
You can easily access the starboard scupper from the removable panel in the quarter birth. The port side one is only touchable from the lazerette and would be very difficult to slide a two inch pvc pipe into. Doable but very difficult.
