Can a cross cut symmetrical spinnaker be cut to be an asymmetrical spinnaker? Most of what I see are radial cut. If so, how much (best guess) should it cost to have done?

I've never had it done, or known anyone who had it done. I've heard it can be done, but I suspect it would be too labor-intensive to justify having it done to a smaller spinnaker. You'd end up with too much money invested in a re-constructed spinnaker. Occasionally you'll see good deals on spinnakers in our Swap Meet. I bought a symetrical and a cruising chute on Ebay, and got very nice sails for very good prices. I have seen nice spinnakers for C25s on Ebay that were reasonably priced, but you have to be patient, because they don't turn up every day. When you see a good one, you have to bid thoughtfully.
Thanks... I spoke with my local loft and the biggest problem is that it is not radial in the corners and would not really look/work well to be recut. I will use it for a trainer and keep my eyes looking for an internet jewel. Thanks!
