I wish they would have this in Nov.-Dec. when I have nothing to do but wait out the winter but with about 6 weekends left to my season I agree with John, I'd rather sail! __/)_____/)___
Bruce -- make sure you have a place to tie-up -- Norwalk Cove displaces literally hundreds of boats to fit the show in and every marina and club around has NCM customers as "guests" . . . . I think you mnight do better driving!
I plan to attend the Annapolis show Thursday and perhaps Friday, and will be racing Saturday and Sunday.
There are lots of very interesting seminars presented at the big sailboat shows, and I like to buy a 2-day ticket, and spend one day seeing the show, and the next day attending the seminars. Also, Capt. Jack Klang is usually sponsored by Quantum Sails, and he teaches seminars on sailing techniques and seamanship, and he's full of good ideas.
That weekend is our Fall Festival at church, so I'm booked. Wanted to look at the C320 MK II, and measure the length of the v-berth. T minus two years, I think, to the retirement boat . . .

I was out of town last weekend and the weather is going to be very good for the next 4-5 days, so I want to get in some sailing. I probably will go sailing after work tomorrow and at least one day this weekend...but not sure which day. But that leaves one day free !
I just got back from the Annapolis Boat Show, and met a C25 sailor, not at the show, but while waiting for a shuttle bus to go back to the Naval Academy stadium parking lot. He has sailed a C25 since the early days of the model, still sails it, and longs to move up to a bigger boat. He says he follows the C25 forum, but doesn't enter into the discussions. I hope he'll read this post and know that he's welcome to chat with us whenever he'd like to. Nice guy! He'd fit right in here.
I found a 25% discount on a refrigeration system to replace the one on my boat that looks like it's going to need to be replaced. It's nice to find a big discount when you need it on a big ticket item.
I thought I was going to have to also replace the air conditioner, but just found that the only thing apparently wrong with it is that it needed a new $23.00 breaker in the electrical system. I replaced it and it appears to be working.
My friend and I will be there at the start of the show (1000am) tomorrow. We probably will be there before it officially opens and stay to mid-afternoon. From what I remember, they shuttle you over from the parking lot. I'll have my "Good Old Boat" hat on.
Larry - I'll look for your hat. It would be nice to meet up. I need to drop my son off at Philly airport around 6 am, then plan to drive straight down to Annapolis, so I should be there very early. I don't know what hat I will be wearing. [EDIT: I threw a red Phillies hat in the car.]
I'm sitting here, looking out my window and watching the snow fall, and your photos are making me soooo anxious to get back to the Chesapeake Bay, with it's relaxed atmosphere and good food. Ah well, it won't be much longer!
I agree -- this has (is) been a horrendous winter weather-wise and I for one am dearly looking forward to working on the boat, bottom and all, and the real fun that spring has to offer!
