I am moving and can not take her along.. 25 Ft Catalina TallRig, FK. Brand new Tohatsu motor 6 hp (10 hours) and motor mount, bottom painted last fall, top deck and hull buffed last fall, new name paint last fall, Sails are in good shape, Brand new cushions that match the boat. She is in good shape and a great sailor. Traditional layout.
True but I just found an 87 on the east coast for $4300 w/o a trailer and possible owner financing. I doubt I can get one shipped from CA for $800. I don't know how comfortable I'd be buying a boat w/o actually laying eyes on it first. I may contact the owner of the one on the east coast. This one does sound like a really great boat though.
I know the boat well. It is 2 slips over from me. I knew the boat before Dave bought it. It is a TR, lead fin keel. The main is new, the jib is new on new roller furling. The motor is new. Everything on the boat is in great condition. This boat needs nothing and Dave is asking way too little.
I've sailed the boat. I look at her every day. There are no flaws.
Dave put her on Craigslist, you'll sell in a week. I have some good leads. When my boat sells I'll hook you up with the one who didn't get Indiscipline (for a small comission?)
She is a great boat and in really good condition.. I know the price was low but sometimes reality sets your course not financial gain. I am up against a really short time line for a move across country. The upside I sold the boat to a great couple who with out this opportunity they would not have had a change to enjoy this terrific hobby onboard such a great boat. I am happy to give them this opportunity.
On that note... Thank you everyone for all the great discussions and for all the sound advice. Hopefully soon I will be joining another Catalina forum for larger boats..
