Okay, I got a pretty good deal on a full winter cover for my C25. I found it on craigslist and bought it for $500. It is made by Custom Covers and Canvas. it comes with a full A-Frame to support the cover.
It is like new and was on a Catalina 27. I looked at a few C27s and I don't see much difference in the two boats. Anyone have any experience or know what differences I might find in the placement of the standing rigging or in the measurement of the beam? Any other thoughts?
I feel it will be a little longer, however this may allow for it to wrap around my motor and swim ladder.
Well Chris, the most obvious difference is that you'll have two extra feet of canvas to deal with. Not a show stopper when you concider the deal you got. The fit of the A-frame is also a question mark - the same two feet in length to deal with. the best you can do after all is said and done is try it out and modify as needed.
I also wondered is there would be a great difference in the percentage of boat behind and in front of the mast. I might see if there is an open spot next to one of our C27s and pull in next to them to do a stare and compare.
