Short video clip of me on my C-25 sailing next to the C-27 I race on. October sailing at it's best. For the record, my knotmeter is fouled and understates speed. You also get a look at my modified rig.

LOL, yes, not a pop top and my main is super blown out. He runs a 155 and I have a 135. Plus, I really need to tune my rig and put some tell tales on the head sail...plus a million other things.
Joint Venture is a fast C-27, we took first place in 5 out of 6 races in the fall series in "B" fleet while I was at the helm. We had one race DNF with the entire fleet because of no wind and two races canceled due to weather.
BTW, the camera is the Kodak Zi3 Plays Sport. Water proof down to 9 meters. I record at 720 but it will record in 1080. For $159 bucks? Totally worth it. You do have to buy your own memory, so I bought 16 GB for it. I have a remote for it and plan to lash it to the mast or use a gimbal system on the aft rail.

On my boat? No, I guess it doesn't matter as no other C-25 is currently racing in "B" fleet and I rarely race on my boat, I crew on Joint Venture. I guess if another C-25 enters and I enter, they can protest me.
Actually, anyone in the fleet could protest your rating. The "book" handicap is based on a standard, class-legal boat. The C-25 class specifically requires the original geometry for the traveler, including being on the transom. But we won't rat you out.

His sails are beautifully trimmed, as are yours, and he has a very sure hand on the helm. He knows exactly how high he can drive his boat without luffing the sails. Keep crewing for him and learning from him, and, with equal sails, you'll start beating him.

Yeah, we actually sail together all the time, including the racing. He's a great guy as well. Sounds like a plan.
