Sounds like some interesting sailing weather. Hadn't hit here yet, at least not that I've noticed.

I remember someone just saying "This is the time of year that I keep reminding myself that the last time Toronto had to brace for a Hurricane was in 1954 - and it was only a Category 1, barely bigger than a tropical storm. "...stay safe

Yeah but our top winds are expected to be around 90km/h - that's only around 55 mph. Hardly hurricane force.

I was going on the quote ""If this had happened over the waters of the Caribbean, it would have been a Category 2 or 3 hurricane," Kournouis said." Never real good converting from km/h to mph.

Hopefully the storm causes no real damage up there.

And whenever you need that break from winter, you're welcomed down here any time...

Tom, I might just take you up on that... you better be careful. Actually, its not likely. My vacation time is pretty scarce right now, adn I may need it for a spring relocation cruise.

Been reading your other post, good luck with that situation. Reading all the issues folks have with marinas and moorings I realize how lucky I am. Maybe if it's not too cold (+70f) and if you need help with the relocation cruise...

Guess what... SWMBO pointed out a tree we lost in our woodlot to me when I got home today. It was already dead and I had been eyeing it for firewood. Looks like we're ahead by another half-cord or so. Now i need to get teh saw running before snow hits.

I've got that one already leaning, and a big poplar that is just begging to come down.

No real damage here though. I wonder if any traffic signals were lost at work - I was out of office today.

Anchored up and in a warm bunk now. Calm no moon and a sky full of stars. Lows tonight in the 40s. Hights in the 70s tomorrow. Nobody on the lake tonight. Lots of boats were out for a regatta today but very little wind as the storms blew through last week. Warmish air from the south today.
