I have searched and read the articles on why or why not paint the interior, etc, etc.
I just bought a Cat 27 that the PO painted the interior. All the fiberglass, All the wood, everything is white except where the paint peeled away from a few gel areas.
We want to remove the paint from the wood. Not knowing what the paint is (assuming it's enamel) and the '76 Cat 27 has a shinny looking woodgrain on the bulkheads.
Any suggestions for removing the paint from the wood? Fiberglass?
Citrus based stripper was my first choice because it's "green" and not so noxious.

Let's start by revoking that PO's license to own a boat. Reminds me of a 727 I flew on in Indonesia once--the head was sprayed dark blue--walls, ceiling, toilet, seat, faucet, bowl,... everything! And it was starting to peel...
For the fiberglass, you need a stripper that's compatible with gelcoat. Some are, some aren't. They tend to take longer to work, and the warmer the better. For the wood, you could try the same stuff on a small area, but you might need something a little more aggressive, followed by some sanding.
