We pull our 250 WB with a 3/4 ton Suburban (mine) or a Toyota Sequoia (wife's); both do an excellent job--in fact, the Sequoia is rated to tow more than the Suburban (9600#)!! I am considering a Nissan Pathfinder V8 as a replacement for the Suburban; it is rated at 7000#, but it seems like such a small vehicle to be towing a boat that size.

The reason for that is a boat trailer (and boat) this long might be well within the weight rating, but it creates an unusually long lever-arm that will try to push your rear-end around (much longer than say a typical U-Haul trailer). The longer the wheelbase, the more leverage the vehicle has to counteract the trailer. This is why 18-wheelers tend to jackknife as often as they do, even though they have tandem axles, 8 tires, and powerful brakes on the trailers. Too much leverage.
I pulled my 250 wb from Chesapeake bay to Chicago (in the rain for 2 days) using my 2000 toy 4rnr v6 limited with no trouble. Maybe a little droopy drawers but really had no probs. I now have the v8 version and suspect even better results.
