My wife just watched that video with me. The response: "Oh crap, how much is that gonna cost."
Nice idea but I think I'd rather put my money into somthing more practical, like the self steering vane in the second video. They probably cost the same and it's a much better solution to self steering than the electric auto pilot. Besides, how often do you need to see yourself sailing from overhead?
Where is the link to buy one? I am hoping they have a new model: SteadyCam KiteCamII. I am gonna go check Ebay. Steve A PS Nothing on Ebay. But since in the mood, here is another look although I liked subject matter in first video, this one is more cinamatic.

Awesome. Looks like it was filmed on the north side of the Skyway bridge (Saint Petersburg). But, it makes me wonder? What the hell do kite boarders do if the wind dies.
I did find a kitecam camera holder only but its $99-yikes. We have to get one of our members to manufacturer a complete kit, less camera, and sell here. Should cost lots less. They got my order. Steve A

I'm thinking of the spy cam I saw at Brookstone, looks small enough to loft on a small kite.

Actually we had a cold front come through so it wasn't real nice for sailing. I did go out for a short sail on Sunday but the wind was 20 plus knots. Maybe this weekend....
Peter, maybe next time. We too had a cold front here in SoCal with gale winds. I went to the boat Sunday and stayed below. The wind was howling and she was hitting the dock. I listened to the radio on 16 and heard 2 calls for help. I was surprised anyone was out there at all. Brave soles! Steve A
