This is the "beefed-up" version of the OEM motor bracket, i.e., double springs and double-plate slides. Backing board is in good condition.

$75 + shipping from 15101

Would this bracket work for a 9.8 4-stroke? If so, I am definitely interested. Do you know how much it weighs so I can find out how much shipping would be? Thanks.

Other than it weighing 18 pounds, I don't know the specs of the bracket. It came off a 1989 C25 when four-stroke motors were gaining in popularity. In fact, this bracket was accomodating a 9.9 Yamaha 4-stroke long-shaft which weighs in the vicinity of 113 lbs.

Other members here use this bracket - perhaps they will chime in.

We have the single spring version for our 9.9hp 4-stroke ever-rude ob. The side plates started binding and we were considering replacing them this summer with the double-thick ones from CD.

Apart from the side-plates binding (and twisting, and generally being problematic) the mount was fine. Since this one has more lifting power (2 springs) and the beefier side-plates, I would assume it would be less problematic.

Thank you for the info, much appreciated! Looks great as I'm in desperate need of a new bracket. Let me know how you'd like to proceed. My email is hitron11 <at> gmail <dot> com.

If this were a 3 spring mount I would snap this up from you but It is the same 2 springer that I have. I have a Honda 9.9 4 stroke on It ( @ 100lbs) and It takes everything I've got to pull It up. Anybody have a three springer they want to get rid of?

<hr height="1" noshade id="quote"></font id="quote"></blockquote id="quote">Scott, I've never seen a three spring verison - where would the third spring be mounted? Sounds like it may be time (or past time) to replace the springs. Garhauer, the manufacturer of the bracket will replace and or add springs. If you talk to to CD they will try to sell you a whole new bracket.

On the 3 and 4 spring models, the additional springs are on the cross pieces at the mount end, just like the 2 spring model but at the other end of the arms.

Where were you a couple of years ago?! Perfect for the Tohatsu/Nissan/Mercury 4 strokes and at a great price!
