Gary, I kept her at Watergate, on Pier 2 till they tore that pier down and then we moved to pier 5. Watergate was a good place to have the boat. She survived two hurricanes (Alicia in '83, and more recently, Ike). We raced with GBCA, and occasionally cruised with the TMCA.

All of the old fixed docks that were by the main swimming pool have been removed and replaced with 40'-60' floating slips. I'll try to take a few pictures the next time I'm down at the boat.

Hi Gary! Yes, do post pics! That outside area REALLY took a beating from hurricane Ike! Glad they have fixed it up. Looks like small slips are almost all being replaced by the whoppers!
When I originally bought Andiamo I was on Dock 12 I believe. Straight across from the swimming pool. I moved my boat to South Shore Harbor for Ike and didn't get a scratch.
If I had stayed at Watergate I wouldn't have a boat today. The boat across from me was driven all the way through the dock and ended up in the slip next to me on the bottom. The boat that had been next to me was never seen again as far as I know. The Cat30 that was next to me on the other side rose up and over the pilings and was sitting in my empty slip. It was one of the only boats on my dock that was not destroyed.
I'm on vacation next week and I'll get some pictures.
Yeah, I believe us little guys are getting driven out by the big boys. I've asked if they were going to build any new, smaller, floating slips and never get a straight answer. They always change the subject which tells me my days are numbered.

"This Side Up" is another oldie but goodie!!! Canyon Lake is a beautiful place, and the tubing is fun down the river!! We have stayed at the Air Force campground on the east shore before, and have good friends in New Braunfels. Last time I was there the water was REALLY low, is it back up? (I hope yes!). Yes, 1200 miles is a bit far for us to get together easily... shucks! :-)...

As the unofficial "matchmaker", if this comes off, I'll be there--watching from a rowboat if I have to!
