Clocks SPRING forward in the morning, so we lose an hour of sleep

If you have not done it recently, try reading the boat equipment manuals.

We just read through the Raymarine ST40 Wind and ST40 Bidata systems we have on board.. Wow! didn't realize that we had some of those features on board!

DST ends, not winter. That's March 20th.

A wise old Indian once said. Only a the White Man can take a blanket, cut off six inches across the top, then sow the same six inches back on across the bottom and then say you now have a longer blanket. That’s day light savings time.

2 Port Feet - I also heard DST referrenced as "Income tax on Sunshine" they take away an hour every spring, then give it back in the fall, and no one is sure what happens to tehat hour in between, just like your tax return.

While I was a student at Purdue, the state of Indiana was debating going on DST. At the time, only "The Region" up by Chicago (Gary, Hammond and Whiting) went on it. On a local Lafayette talk show, a guy called in--totally serious, in fact, furious--to say that DST would force him to cut his grass more often because of the additional daylight. And a dairy farmer called to argue that his cows couldn't tolerate the changes in the milking schedule.

I do so miss the old Hoosier State...
