I'm trying to decide if I want to tackle the job or hire a rigger to do it. Anyone have an idea what a fair price would be to hire a rigger? I've never use done and I have no idea what I should expect to pay.
Sorry, I didn't mean to imply that you should hire a rigger to come to the boat and install the furler.
The only thing I'm using a rigger for is to swage the ends the new fore-stay. He is giving me advice as to how to obtain correct measurements. He's also recommending an additional piece (or two) of optional hardware that will help the furler operate more efficiently or be less problematic.
I will be assembling and installing the furler myself.
I didn't take it that way. I'm just curious what a fair price might be. I'd be willing to pay $200.00 - $300.00 to have someone else do it a long as it was done properly.
Most likely I'm going to pull the boat at the end of May for the summer months(summers too hot) and work on polishing the hull and installing the furler. I have a covered stall onshore so I can work in the shade instead of out in the sun at the dock.
