Getting ready to drop our C25 in the lake after being on the hard for a LONG time. Not sure when the last time this boat was in the water but we've about completed our resto and ready to start enjoying our efforts. With that being said, I have visually inspected the through-hull and valve (for the galley sink and icebox) and see no issues but was hoping to test the integrity before we drop her in. I was guessing that I could simply close the valve and force water in from the outside and see what happens. Sounds reasonable but wanted to run this by the pros here for confirmation and additional suggestions. That post a month or so ago about that Hunter kinda spooked me. Thanks!
Since the 1980 model came with to-hulls it means someone replaced them. I would want to know (1) if the thru-hulls are made of the correct material and (2) are of the correct design and (3) were installed correctly.
