Looks cool but way more holding power than you should actually need. I would think that half of that would be sufficient. I guess that the advantage is spreading the load to 8 points on the boom. The mid-boom block (well actually more like 2 ft from the end) on our C-22 is held in place with an eye strap and 2 screws. The main sheet runs from a becket on the boom-end block down to the traveler car block, back up to the boom-end block, forward to a single block and comes down to a barney post in the middle of the cockpit. Will you secure the device above with pop rivets or short screws?
Internal outhauls have a lot of lines to them, (CD's has more purchase than they need I think), so make sure that adding boom hardware does not cause an issue with the lines inside the boom.
OJ, do you have a pop top? If so, mid-boom sheeting will be a problem unless you put the traveler track on the cockpit seats or right in front of the companionway.
